Our Career precept
These reports encompass the initiatives of the smartest, most creative people alive. We should only see what they see and feel what they feel ... They navigate life at the point where success is obscure and unpredictable but they make it happen. They are idea incubators. They are our trailblazers.
“Potential's Guide to an Ethically Managed Business Start-up" and "Potential's Guide to Ethical Career Managment" were our first publications dating back to before 2000.
For the business version at 29.99 you receive a step by step guide to starting up your own business along with a business application pursuant to the city or state where you live. A motivational CD recording comes with the kit made by myself, principal of The Potential Enterprise Company. Finally, and what is probably most important is that you received an outline of the business you would choose from our catalogue of over 100 (closer to 150) businesses that you could start for under one hundred dollars (many start-up costs were under fifty dollars).
Our “Career How to Book” has graphs and charts depicting the most promising careers and their salaries. Discussed also are preparation, attitude, dedication, and outlook.
Incidentally we have maintained Potential's catalogue of over a hundred businesses. Discussed in some of them were the demographics pursuant to that particular business; walk-by traffic, neighborhood density and the best relationship to have with customers and neighboring business owners.
The question most often asked was: Aren’t you afraid of including all that information in these books? My answer: Seasoned successful business persons from various agencies, very familiar with the business landscape and licensed to do so acted as sounding boards and went over every idea offered within these publications and gave me nothing but encouragement. Interesting to me was that most of my clients were hustlers trying to go legit; rappers and entertainers .., as well as bus drivers, construction workers and other working people.
